An Encounter with Jackson Pearce, Author of SISTERS RED

As promised, I will be doing a review on Sisters Red. The hot, new novel by Jackson Pearce. You know, the one EVERYONE is raving about. Yup, that one! Speaking of which, I happened to meet her this morning! She came over to my school (all the way from Atlanta!) to speak to a limited number of students. I know, I feel special! As I was walking down the flights of stairs on my way to the school library (where the meeting would be taking place), I was thinking, "Oh, she's probably another one of those stuck up, I'm way to cool for everyone in this room, type of person." I mean what else could you expect from author whose work is enjoyed by many, many teens? Boy, was I in for a surprise! As I walked in through the doors of the library, I noticed a young woman, dressed in a lovely black dress and taupe sweater, smiling and greeting everyone. I was just like, "Whoa!". I mean, this was Jackson Pearce. Even as she began to introduce herself to us, she slipped off her shoes, saying they were way to uncomfortable. I think this was the trick that made us all believe that she is super cool and laid back. Throughout our entire discussion, she remained easy-going, fun, and quirky. Just like her novel! Now I know that not every famous person is snotty, some can actually be really, genuinely kind! Look for the review of her novel and some of her discussion coming soon!
